Administrative Assistant and Secretary
Administrative support will assist the educational and administrative staff with all administrative tasks to support program compliance for the early childhood educational center.

Qualifications:
-
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Must be completely knowledgeable of Microsoft Office and technologically savvy.
-
Previous administrative support in an employment capacity in a field related to Social, Human, or Family Services with a minimum of one (1) year of administrative support experience in social services or in a related field. Bilingual skills plus a valid Community First Aid and CPR card (or acquired within one year of employment).

General Responsibilities:

Participate in staff meetings, conferences, training sessions, and workshops as assigned. Attend Policy Council meetings and other meetings as requested.

Demonstrate familiarity with employment policies, performance standards, work plan, and objectives of the Agency. Maintain congenial and respectful relations with staff, children, families, and community.

Keep current and accurate records and filing system while maintaining confidentiality regarding staff and family information.

Family Services Coordinator
ECDO, Forever Harlem Early Childhood Educational Centers, needs a Coordinator of Family Services. Our programs are entrenched in the Harlem communities. As we consider education the first and most important step towards a successful, self-sufficient future, it is important for us to engage the families of all children enrolled at our centers. We provide community-based services, and we must have information available to provide families and children with needed resources and information. Family services provide an important bridge to services for children and families.​
This position requires the applicant to be aware of planning, implementing outreach plans to increase brand awareness, improve our marketing efforts and to maximize enrollment. Must be proficient with the use of varied programmatic software applications to ensure enrollment objectives are met.​​ This position requires an individual that has their ears to the pulse of the Harlem community and requires previous demonstrated experience working with and providing resources to the children and families we serve.

Description of daily activities will include and not be limited to:

Recruiting/overseeing the eligibility and enrollment of children in the program
-
Advocating for parents; conducting home visits; offering referral services and providing community resources; promoting parental involvement.

Developing/planning activities for children that will support their optimal growth and enhance relationships with parents/guardians; organizing/facilitating parent-child socialization groups and parent workshops

Coordinating medical, dental and other community-based services offering comprehensive support to children and families.

Maintaining case records and completing all documentation and reports qualifications: A degree in Human Services or related field is required along with prior experience advocating for families and familiarity with managing and establishing community resources. At a minimum, a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field.

Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus along with having the ability to complete all standard administrative and support tasks including but not limited knowledge of managing social media platforms, computerized data management and proficient use of Microsoft Office.

Lead Teacher

The lead teacher will work with the Administrative and Educational Directors along with the Assistant teachers to ensure that all educational objectives are met in a safe, stimulating, and state-of-the-art environmental setting.
​
The Lead teacher must at a minimum have a high school diploma and college with early childhood education training and MUST have previous teaching experience within an early learn/head start and or certified daycare/ educational center.
​
Lead teacher must have an active study plan in early childhood education with the goal of acquiring certification in early childhood education.
Must be a high-energy individual and be able to demonstrate the delivery and understanding of early childhood development educational techniques.
​
Must be a flexible team player and have the ability to follow directions and to interact with children in a nurturing, appropriate and positive manner. Requirement of clearance from the Department of Investigation, SCR Statewide Central Register Database Check and current medical are necessary.
