Giving Harlem's children a head start.
Every child deserves a safe place to learn, grow, explore, and build confidence. For families in Harlem, access to quality early childhood education is also about something bigger: giving parents the support they need to work, pursue opportunities, and build a stable future for their families.
ECDO's Early Childhood Education programs provide full-day, year-round early learning for children ages 2.9 to 5 years old. Our two Harlem centers, ECDO Child Start Center and Adam Clayton Powell Early Learn, also offer 3-K and 4-K programming.

More than early learning.
Our classrooms are designed to support the whole child. Children have space to learn through play, build relationships, develop early academic and social skills, and prepare for their next stage of education.
Our work also recognizes that children do not grow in isolation. Families need support, too.
Through our Family Service Coordinators and broader community programs, ECDO connects families to resources and services that can strengthen their stability and well-being.
Our locations offer these amenities and services.
